Wedding, Lifestyle & Studio Photography Terms and Conditions:

ALL quotes are valid for 14 days ONLY!
ALL Wedding Contracts are valid for 2 months after your wedding date!
Should there be an outstanding amount after your wedding, a penalty fee will be applicable of R2500-00 per month!
Should there be an overtime outstanding amount, please note that editing of you wedding photos will only start once this amount is settled in full.
Venue visits prior to your wedding will be invoiced separately at an hourly rate of R1,500.00.
Overtime at your wedding will be dealt with in a civil manner, should you approach me and put me in any awkward position for an answer, I keep it professional but you will still be invoiced per hour for overtime after the wedding.
Album prices are a general guide only and subject to manufacturing and material cost variations which I have no control over. Where an album is included in the agreed package price, the photographer reserves the right to change this album subject to market availability, to another album of equal value.
Should your contract and package include wedding album/s, the industry standard prices at the time of the contract being signed is applicable. Price increases may change without prior notice.
Should your contract and package include a 3rd party supplier (eg. videographer), Darrell Fraser Photography cannot be held responsible if the supplier does not show up on your wedding day. Darrell Fraser Photography works independently of any 3rd party supplier.
Guest photography is not permitted in the wedding album design.
Wedding Albums – should your photo selection not reach me within 4 months after handing over of your disks with the high resolution photos, printing costs will then be at your own expense due to printing price increases. After 2 months, my contract is considered complete. I will however still design your album, but this is also subject to my workload and can take anything between 6 to 12 weeks.
I keep a backup of your wedding photos for 3 months only after your wedding date, please make sure you make a backup of your photos as well.

Packages excludes stylists, make-up artists and hairstylists.
A list of these stylists, make-up artists and hairstylists will be emailed to you. Please contact them directly for bookings and to get their rates.
Studio shoots can be done at your home for a more relaxed environment.
Maximum 2 Adults and 2 children on all packages, R450.00 per extra person.
100% of the selected package or custom quotation is payable upfront to reserve your booking. Any additional costs that may arise are payable on the day of the shoot.
Booking fees are non-refundable on cancellation.
Please note that I need to be informed at least 48 hours in advance should you want to reschedule your shoot. I am human and have a heart, and will try and accommodate my clients as far as possible.
Cancellation / Postponing Policy: Should you, the client, postpone/reschedule your shoot 2 times or more, you will loose your booking in total and booking fee is non-refundable. I will do everything I can to reschedule your shoot at a time convenient to all parties, and if that cannot be agreed upon, the client can have a credit of the amount they have paid to use towards future shoots, or they can transfer the money to somebody else’s photo shoot if they wish. Please note that your Booking Fee will be honoured for SIX MONTHS only!
LATE PENALTY FEE CHARGE – if you are more than 20mins late for your session there is a late penalty fee of R500 for every 30mins that will be billed to you. Otherwise time will be deducted from your shoot if you prefer this option. If you are more than 1hr late your shoot is cancelled and you will forfeit the booking fee (50% OF THE SHOOT VALUE)
No cheque / cash accepted, only EFT payments.
Packages in this document only serve as a guideline. Prices can be calculated based on client requirements.
Prices are only valid for location shoots in the Pretoria East area. AA rates will be charged for longer distances.
Packages consist of hourly photo shoots only and delivering of final product as agreed upon. Editing will be limited to x5 photos of your choice, eg. skin blemish removals, removal of unwanted scars etc. Packages do not include any other editing of any kind. Should you have a special request, please discuss this prior to your shoot for an additional quote.
DVD: as per agreed product / package.
I retain the copyright on all images captured and reserve the right to use the images for promotional and public relations purposes.
Please allow four to six weeks after the lifestyle/studio shoot for completion and final package handover.
Your final package with your photos to be collected from my studio in Pretoria, or otherwise arranged. Please make arrangements with a courier to collect on your behalf, I do not make use of postal services nor dropbox.
An admin fee of R80-00 will be charged on any additional USB requests.
Should you wish to have your photos on a slideshow with music, this can be done at an extra R3,500.00, which can be viewed on most PC’s/Laptops.
Photobooks – should you wish to have a photobook of your photos, I will supply you with all the various options, sizes and prices. All photo book prices excludes the design fee. We do not accept own or third party designs. Any additional pages will be charged at a cost of R80 per page.

We do not make use of props, should you wish to have props during these photoshoots, please make sure you bring your own!.
Retouching, digital manipulation and artist finishing is available to the Client as an optional extra. The Photographer in its sole discretion, may retouch, creatively edit, and crop any photographs. Cosmetic retouching (if any) is solely at the discretion of The Photographer, and any additional retouching can be requested at an additional fee of R1300.00 per hour.
EDITING: Your images receive basic editing i.e. sharpening, light adjustment, contrast, artistic editing and conversions. Extensive editing i.e. removal of wrinkles/scars/making thinner etc. can be done but only to a certain extent. The Photographer will advise on the possibility of the CLIENT(S)’S requested ‘Photoshopping’. These requests must be discussed during the pre-event consultations not on the day of the event while we are in the middle of photographing. This extensive editing requires an additional fee of R1300.00 per hour. Note that the Photographer does not consent to other photographers retouching or editing photos taken by the Photographer in anyway. Consent is not given to the CLIENT(S) to retouch or edit the photos taken by the Photographer. This would reflect a style not indicative to the Photographer and possibly change the perceptive of the Photographer’s style of photography and editing. All editing is done at the discretion and artistic style of Darrell Fraser Photography.

THE MONTH OF DECEMBER: From the 15th of December to the 15th of January – editing of images or ordering of books/prints will not take place during this period. Should your event fall within or around this time please do understand that all editing and ordering of books/prints will recommence on the 16 January. All shoots will still take place as usual.
ALL communication will be via e-mail for record keeping. No communication will be accepted via mobile device applications such as Whatsapp, facebook messenger, etc.
Normal business hours apply – 09h00 to 17h00 – for any correspondence via email.
In accordance with South Africa’s Copyright Laws, the copyright of all images created by the Photographer is owned by the Photographer. Darrell Fraser Photography retains all copyright benefit for all images created by himself forever. Copyrights for art (including photographs) do not expire. Unless the Photographer gives written authorisation, the Client is forbidden by law to copy any images created by the Photographer and agrees that all photographic reprints, digital duplications or copies of any type made from images created by the Photographer, shall only be carried out by the Photographer. The license to reproduce such images is granted to the Client under the understanding that all invoices are paid within the Photographer’s stated payment terms. This means, if one of the images created by our Photographers is used for any commercial or financial gain purpose, at any time, without our permission in writing, you agree to pay us for the use of the image at the current market rate as determined by the use at the time.
Example #1: You send a magazine an image created by the Photographer, Darrell Fraser, the magazine pays you for the image. You owe Darrell Fraser Photography 100% of that payment + liquidated damages, on demand.
Example #2: You send an image created by a Photographer from Darrell Fraser Photography to a commercial website for sale to the public or for other financial gain. You owe Darrell Fraser Photography 100% + liquidated damages of any and all income derived from use of that image.
If the Client wishes to own the copyright of images created by the Photographer, an additional fee will be paid by the Client to the Photographer for transferring the copyright. This fee will be mutually agreed upon by both parties. The transfer of copyright will only become applicable after this payment has been made in full.
License for the use of images will always be granted for non-commercial use at no cost as long as credit for the work is given. All we ask is a simple copyright statement be placed near or on the image, and notification of use is communicated to Darrell Fraser Photography. Non-commercial uses include personal web pages, and prints of images kept or given to friends and family. Commercial use includes any business web page, any use of images for advertising or promotion, any other use that would be considered as commercial or financially beneficial to the user.
