Photography Mentoring

Photography Mentoring & Coaching

In-person full day one on one photography mentoring/coaching

This workshop is for those who are able to travel to Pretoria.  All participants are required to be shooting in manual mode prior to attendance.  During the workshop, we start with a Q&A where you can ask me any burning questions you might have about anything photography, editing, or business related. The Q&A usually lasts about an hour.  Then we move right into editing in depth for about 3 hours or so. I take you through my editing steps and process from start to finish!  Later in the day we talk about how I prepare for a shoot. We discuss how to find the best lighting, metering light, nailing exposure, camera settings, shooting in manual, lens selection, posing, client interaction, location scouting, marketing, etc… Then in the afternoon between 16h00 and 18h00, we go out on a live shoot with a model.  During this time I can help you by answering any questions on site and helping you put into practice the things I have taught you throughout the day. You will be able to watch me work, pose the client, etc… You will also be shooting right alongside me, gaining experience and building your portfolio. After the photo shoot we will come back and edit photographs from our session. Its a long 8+ hour day of learning, but super fun!

You are welcome to bring along your own laptop for editing purposes. Editing is done in Adobe Photoshop only.

You will be responsible for your own travel expenses. Lunch and refreshments are provided the day of the session as well as a notebook, folder, and printed manual. To secure your date, a 50% booking fee is required. Then your balance can be paid at your convenience each month with the total being due 30 days before the workshop.

NOTE: The editing workflow covered in this mentoring workshop is not a Photoshop course, which covers my basic editing methods. Should you wish to enrol for a full Photoshop Course, click here.
